In the fall of 2022, longtime Hudson-Valley soccer coach and trainer Erika Sclafani founded Total Respect F.C. at the urging of a group of parents who wanted her to coach their U-10 boys team at a new, more innovative, competitive club that would challenge them as individuals, players, and a team.
Coach Erika started coaching youth soccer in the Bronx when she was sixteen years old, and over the course of her career has coached and trained boys and girls teams from mighty-mites to college. She has coached the boys at John Jay High School, and both the men and women at Dutchess Community College.
She has been a skills trainer for dozens of teams of all ages at several Hudson-Valley clubs, including East Fishkill, Wappingers United, Marlboro United, and more. She is a certified Coerver Skills Trainer and holds her National D coaching license.
In her spare time, Coach Erika continues to compete with her long-time team Purple Haze in the East Hudson Women's Soccer League, and is an avid Liverpool F.C. supporter.
As you can tell by the name of the club, Coach Erika's approach to the beautiful game is rooted in RESPECT. (You can read more about that here.) The club's goal is to supplement players' club and travel-team experience by focusing on age-appropriate, individual soccer skills, while providing soft skills and experiences that make them better tacticians, decision-makers, and teammates. We want to help make them the best players — and people — they can be.
As TRFC gets off the ground with one team, we have an eye on the future, looking to bring Coach Erika's knowledge, skills, experience, and philosophy of the game to more young players, teams, coaches, and organizations by adding new tournament teams to our club and offering training to teams from other clubs.

Head Coach/Founder
As TRFC gets up and running, we will be looking to assemble new tournament teams. If you have a player or group of players looking for supplemental opportunities to train, play, and develop new skills they can bring back to their club team, we'd love to hear from you.
TRFC is more than a club; it's a philosophy of soccer based on RESPECT, knowledge, hard work, and a love for the game, and we want to share it! If you are a coach or club coordinator looking for skills training for your team(s) that will make a difference, please reach out.
While we may not be hiring right now, if you're a soccer coach or trainer who would like to be part of something new and special, please get in touch. We'd love to get to know you, and as this club grows, opportunities will come!
Is your organization interested in providing access and life experiences for young athletes? TRFC is focused on helping young soccer players grow into the best athletes, teammates, and people they can be. Our team of sponsors is the key to making that happen. See how you can contribute.
